Real Estate Assessments -
Environmental Site Assessment
or WHAT LIES BENEATH

Every colored square on this map shows were
contamination has been released into the soil and/or groundwater. Many
of them have a contaminated groundwater plume associated with them.
Contaminated plumes can lead to soil vapor problems. Map from GeoTracker.
Western Geo-Engineers' experience of over 20 years in
environmental investigations and remedial actions has uniquely
qualified us to perform real estate environmental site assessments. We
have experience in predicting and mapping the flow of
contamination into groundwater and the resulting contaminated plumes.
We have observed and modeled how these plumes can be
expected to effect properties that they migrate onto either by
contaminating the groundwater or by off gassing vapors.
Western Geo-Engineers has performed Phase I, Phase II
and Phase III assessments on a number of properties, from simple
undeveloped lots to large multiple property projects.
Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
The objective of a Phase I Environmental Site
Assessment is to determine whether the property has been subjected to
the presence or likely presence of hazardous materials or wastes,
including petroleum products, under conditions that indicate an
existing release, a past release, or any material threat of a release
of those materials or wastes into the ground, groundwater, or surface
water of the property.
WEGE conducts Environmental Site Assessments to
the standards put forth by ASTM E 1527 – 05.
